Bodies Of 2 San Jose Men Found Buried In Shallow Indianapolis Grave
INDIANAPOLIS (CBS/AP) -- Police in Indianapolis say the bodies found buried in a shallow grave two weeks ago are those of two South Bay men.
Police said Friday that dental records were used to identify the bodies as 39-year-old Juan Valencia and 40-year-old Raul Villalobos of San Jose.
The remains were found Aug. 22 by people searching for a dog in a wooded area amid a mix of homes and industrial buildings on the city's east side.
Police have said at least one of the bodies had head injuries. A man who found the remains told WTHR-TV that he and his cousin also found several hundred dollars near the grave.
Officer Mike Hewitt of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said that there was nothing to indicate that the two men had been living in Indianapolis before they died.
According to San Jose police, Villalobos was reported missing on July 6 and Valencia on Aug. 24. Both men were reported missing by family members.
No arrests have been reported.
