Bochy Undecided On Giants' DH For Game 4
ARLINGTON, Texas (CBS / AP) -- San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Saturday night that he planned to sleep on his decision for a designated hitter for World Series Game 4 on Sunday.
He went with Pablo Sandoval in Game 3 in the eighth spot of the order, opting to keep the lineup intact from what had worked in the first two games — when the Giants scored a combined 20 runs.
"Pablo, he's a good hitter. He's a dangerous hitter," Bochy said. "It works out well for us to have him DH and it keeps Edgar (Renteria) and (Juan) Uribe on the left side of the infield."
Sandoval was hitless though on Saturday as the Giants fell to Texas, 4-2. The Giants hold a two games to one lead in the Series over the Rangers.
Other options Bochy is considering for Sunday include using Travis Ishikawa as the DH or at first base and giving Aubrey Huff a chance as designated hitter.
