Blossoms In February? Will The Early Spring Continue?

A: Temperatures have been above average in the Bay Area is experiencing the warmest Winter on record.
I am currently training for a Half Ironman Competition in Kona, so, during my training run on Saturday, I snapped this photograph of a beautiful Cherry Blossom tree bursting with blossoms in Pleasanton. Having lived in the Bay Area for the last 19 years, I am in awe of these pink and white blossoms every Spring. But it's NOT Springtime. It's not even March and these pristinely, flowering trees are blooming too soon. Unfortunately, today's gusty winds are ripping the delicate pedals off their stems. My freshly swept patio is now covered in the blanket of pink.
Blame it on High Pressure. Its not budging as it is firmly planted over the state of California and diverting the storm track to the North. Above average temperatures continue to cause trees to bloom and pollen to soar. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a "Miracle March!"
