Bleacher Report Depicts New Warriors Line-Up With Hilarious 'NBA 2K17' Animation
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A new video produced by Bleacher Report on Tuesday re-imagined the new Golden State Warriors line-up as a team of lumbering giants several times the size of their opponents in a brief but hilarious NBA 2K17-style animated clip.
The video, which posted with a short write-up by Bleacher Report columnist Laura Depta, shows the Warriors literally towering over the Cleveland Cavaliers with the starting five of Stephen Curry, newly acquired former Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala.
Durant announced Monday that he planned to sign with the Warriors. The 2-year, $54 million deal includes a player option after the first year.
The video can be watched below.
"How would an All-Star lineup with two league MVPs even work in video game mode? How is NBA 2K17 going to handle this?" Depta asked in her story.
Comically, despite the huge size of the players, this animated version of the Warriors still found the players mostly shooting outside shots.
The clip the website posted to Facebook quickly went viral, racking up 6 million views and over 125,000 shares by the afternoon.
