Biker Gets 100-Plus Years For Lakeport Attack
LAKEPORT (CBS / AP) -- A biker gang member will likely spend the rest of his life in prison for the brutal attack of a Lakeport man during a 2009 marijuana robbery.
The Lake County Record-Bee reports that a judge sentenced 60-year-old Thomas Dudney on Tuesday to more than 100 years behind bars. He was convicted in March of 10 felony counts, including attempted murder, mayhem and torture.
Prosecutors say Dudney was a member of a biker gang called The Misfits Motorcycle Club and had a past conviction for manslaughter.
Authorities say he and another person broke into an acquaintance's home in October 2009 to steal marijuana. During the burglary, Ronald Greiner was shot in the chest and leg, cut, beaten and hogtied.
Dudney maintained his innocence in a statement read at Tuesday's sentencing.
