Lanes Cleared Followng Crash Involving Big Rigs On Interstate 580 In Pleasanton
PLEASANTON (CBS SF) - All lanes of westbound Interstate Highway 580 in Pleasanton were cleared Friday afternoon following a crash several hours earlier that involved two big-rigs and a sedan, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The crash was reported shortly before 9 a.m. on westbound Highway 580 near Hopyard Road and initially blocked all but one of the westbound lanes, CHP Officer Adan Garcia said.
One of the big-rigs overturned and its fuel tank ruptured, spilling between 75 to 100 gallons of diesel fuel onto the roadway, Van Eckhardt said.
Ambulances responded to the scene, but Garcia said there weren't any major injuries and no one was taken the the hospital.
