Big Rig Mishap Blocks Highway 101 In San Rafael
SAN RAFAEL (BCN) - A disabled big-rig has been cleared from southbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Rafael and traffic is flowing normally again, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The incident occurred at about 6:05 a.m. when the trailer of a big-rig traveling south on the highway became detached and blocked lanes.

The big-rig was carrying lumber, but CHP Officer Kevin Bartlett said he doesn't believe the load spilled onto the highway.
The two right lanes were blocked for about an hour and a half before the big-rig was cleared at 7:40 a.m.
No injuries were reported, Bartlett said.
