Bicyclist Hurt In San Francisco Hit-And-Run Crash
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run in San Francisco's North of Panhandle neighborhood early Sunday morning, police said Monday.
The collision was reported at 1:54 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Masonic Avenue.
A 23-year-old woman was on her bicycle riding north on Masonic when a truck traveling the same direction and weaving between lanes struck her, according to police.
The truck, a black pickup with a camper shell on the back, accelerated away, and the driver had not been found as of Monday morning, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
The victim was taken to a hospital with head injuries that are not considered life-threatening, Esparza said.
