Best Valentine's Day Parties For Singles In San Francisco

If you're single and looking to mingle - or just want to have fun on a day that typically only celebrates those who have a significant other - look no further. The following events and venues in San Francisco offer fun galore and a whole lot more.

San Francisco Pillow Fight Club

Justin Herman Plaza
Embarcadero Plaza
1 Market St.
San Francisco, CA 94101
www.metrowize.com

Date: February 14

It's not every day that an occasion springs up where you get to wallop, pummel and bash out your frustrations on a mob of strangers. A few words of advice for the pillow-fighting novice: bring a helmet and your noggin will thank you. Bring soft, fluffy pillows of puffiness and leave the old, dirty, used, feathered cushions at home and your fellow pillow fighters will be grateful. If you are allergic to feathers, by all means, do not engage in this pillow game. Enjoy taking your single frustrations out on those in the same bat, but please refrain from hitting the pillow-less peeps. Bring cans of food and pillows to donate to charity organizations at the event. Enjoy this alternative celebration of sorts for the day of love.

Eternity Ball
Marines' Memorial Club
609 Sutter St.
San Francisco, CA 94102
(415) 381-8793
www.eternityball.com

Date: February 14

Located in the theater district, this unique club and hotel serves as a memorial to the U.S. Marines who fought in the Pacific during World War II. The Eternity Ball is a special Valentine's Day event for everyone and is not a 'couples only' soiree. If you are married, divorced, engaged or single, this event is an excuse to dress in your favorite wedding reception attire and dance the night away. This year, sponsors and individuals can also 'gift' tickets to the USO BAY-area active military personnel, wounded warriors or veterans who would like to attend. Dinner, dance, drinks and entertainment by Franco Finn are included in the festivities.
