The Fourth of July and fireworks go together like stars and stripes. And, as with any summer holiday, good food, cool drinks and great company are a must. Located further north in Sonoma, the Depot Hotel restaurant holds an annual 4th of July celebration complete with an oyster bar and buffet dinner. The $90 ticket includes a bottle of wine, tax and tip, and part even goes toward a donation to the Sonoma Valley Volunteer Fire Association, who provides the fireworks. The 7 p.m. dinner service begins on the beautiful terrace where diners can nosh on barbecued oysters and house made focaccia, while the dining room buffet, offering everything from tuscan fried chicken to Italian cheeses, opens at 7:30. After a cheesecake dessert, sit back in the warm summer night and enjoy the show.
