Best Corn Mazes In The Bay Area

Despite this year's drought, many Bay Area farms have chosen to please the public and plant corn mazes for fall enjoyment. Maze junkies can wander through mazes with a variety of difficulty levels from child-friendly to highly challenging. Make a day of the family pumpkin patch trip and enjoy a walk through one of these Bay Area corn mazes. Here is our previous list of corn and hay mazes near the Peninsula.

Petaluma Pumpkin Patch and Amazing Corn Maze

One of the biggest in the area, the Petaluma Pumpkin Patch's A-Maze-ing Corn Maze offers four acres of challenging family fun. With corn stalks growing 10 feet tall, and a two-story viewing platform over the maze, completing the course takes roughly 45 minutes. General admission ages 6 and up is $5, and special lights-out Friday and Saturday night admission is $9. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. The pumpkin patch is open seven days a week through the end of October.

Open every day during the month of October, Joan's Farm and Pumpkin Patch is located off Mines Road close to downtown Livermore. Joan says there will be no corn maze this year due to the severe drought. However, her grandson has been working on creating a maze crafted from straw bales that she thinks will prove even more challenging than the corn mazes of years past. Joan's Farm is a working cattle ranch and the pumpkin patch offers a wide variety of activities including face painting, panning for gems and pony rides. The farm accepts cash only.

Just outside Morgan Hill, Uesugi Farms Pumpkin Park and Corn Maze is open seven days a week through the end of October. The farm's corn maze is two acres, and children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Families can make a day of it when visiting Uesugi and its many attractions. Make sure to take a ride on the carousel, cow train and ponies, or take pictures next to the pumpkin pyramid or while strolling through Butterfly Valley.

The Santa Rosa Pumpkin Patch is home to Sonoma County's largest corn maze. The maze is a massive eight acres and includes both a short and a long route. The farm includes an eight-acre pumpkin patch, hay bale and sunflower mazes, and hay rides. Refreshments are available for purchase, and don't forget to also check out the pony rides, rock climbing wall, face painting and petting zoo.

Just off of 580 in Livermore, G&M is a six-acre farm and pumpkin patch. Pricing for the maze varies, and children under five are free. Fresh produce and numerous types of pumpkin are available for purchase. On weekends, there are on-site pony rides. Visit the farm's website for a discount coupon.
