Tucked away in a nondescript shopping center, this eatery serves a delightful brunch. The classic deviled egg with vodka, mayonnaise, pickled cucumber, white vinegar and paprika, or the peño popper (egg, jalapeno, mascarpone, cilantro) can be complemented with a chef-suggested wine. This swell gem sets itself apart from the staid and typical venues that cater to the sports fans and their burgers-and-fries appetites. TLB is slightly hard to find, and small, but refreshingly unique. Bringing the stadium-style luxury box vibe out of the stadium and into the neighborhood is the idea. Top off any of your delicious breakfast-in-the-noon-hour meals with a smooth and tasty beer or a bottomless mimosa. This is not a full bar, but the selection of beer and wine is top notch.

Enjoy this warm and intimate place when considering a fine brunch on the weekend. Brunch hours are from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The brunch menu includes eggs benedict, made with cage-free eggs and offered in several different preparations, including ingredients like black forest ham, pork roll and housed-cured salmon. Also offered during brunch, try Hult's burger bar options. Burgers can be made with cherry wood-smoked bacon, BBQ or the "Little Mikey" – which includes black truffle aioli, pickled caramelized onions, red pickled onions, bacon and cheddar. Order up the sake bloody mary or strawberry mimosa to accompany your meal. The owner cares about giving great customer service, and it shows. Don't be surprised if he stops by your table to ask how your service has been.

Order bread pudding French toast and boast to your friends that you went to a café where the brunch offered delicious drinks beyond your typical bloody mary or mimosa. This is one of the snappiest little breakfast spots in San Jose. The mimosas are made with freshly squeezed orange juice and cuts of fresh strawberries and oranges mixed in for a more fruity taste. These drinks go splendidly well with brunch at Bill's. The menu offers Bill's famous bloody mary and/or mimosa, cranberry mimosa, Champagne, Bill's michelada (Modelo Especial, salted rim with lime juice) and Bill's super chevala (large chilled glass with salted rim, filled with Negra Modelo, splash of tomato juice, squirt of lime juice and a touch of Tapatío). This place will be worth the wait.
