Belmont Baskin Robbins Worker Accused Of Dealing Marijuana From Counter
BELMONT (CBS SF) -- A worker at a Baskin Robbins on the Peninsula has been arrested after police said he offered a 32nd flavor not on the menu: marijuana.
Martin Abinader, who works at the store in Belmont, faces multiple charges. Investigators said he sold pot to undercover detectives while scooping ice cream not once, but twice.
Customers had to use special phrases to obtain the marijuana, according to authorities.
At this time, Abinader is the only worker at the Baskin Robbins location suspected of dealing drugs while scooping ice cream.
Abinader said he worked at the store since 2008. Investigators said they are not sure how long marijuana was sold behind the counter.
