Beaten Giants Fan Stow Moved To New Rehab Center
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS/AP) - The family of a San Francisco Giants fan beaten nearly to death outside Dodger Stadium said Monday that he's been moved to a new rehab facility because he no longer needs constant medical care.
Bryan Stow's family said in a blog post that the 43-year-old former paramedic will undergo aggressive therapy to help him become more independent. He now shares an apartment with two other patients, and they have full-time assistance.
The improvements come nearly a year after the attack in Los Angeles that left him in a coma.
Stow's family said he still needs help moving to and from his chair and getting dressed, and that he suffers from short-term memory loss. The family did not name the new facility.
Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood are charged in the attack.
