Bay Area Youth Among 3 Killed In Sacramento Car Crash

SACRAMENTO (CBS/AP) -- Authorities say an adult and two recent graduates from a San Francisco Bay area high school have been killed in a rollover crash outside of Sacramento.

The Contra Costa Times reports that 18-year-old Christian Bishop and 20-year-old Mauric Waters died after the car they were riding in went out of control and flipped over several times around 3 a.m. Friday.

A California Highway Patrol spokesman says Bishop and Waters were riding in the back seat. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Both were recent graduates of Walnut Creek's Las Lomas High School.

Also killed in the crash was the driver, 26-year-old Stephen Johnson, of Rancho Cordova.

A fourth person in the car, 24-year-old Kevin Wardley of Lincoln, survived the crash. He was hospitalized in critical condition.

The CHP says Wardley was the only person in the car wearing a
seatbelt.
