New Bay Area Storm Causes More Flooding, Landslides
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5 / AP) -- Crews across the Bay Area were cleaning up Saturday after an overnight storm dumped additional rain on already saturated soil, causing more flooding, road closures, landslides, and downed trees.
Wet weather was expected to continue throughout the day on Saturday, but would taper off toward the end of the weekend, forecasters said.

In Capitola in Santa Cruz County, a second flash flood forced crews to abandon cleanup efforts from an earlier storm and prompted a voluntary evacuation.
Capitola city spokesman Derek Johnson said heavy rain Saturday morning caused a two-foot burst of water from a culvert in the Pacific Cove Mobile Home Park to rush into the Capitola Village shopping area.
Rushing waters forced work crews to scramble from the area. Emergency workers are looking for any possibly stranded residents.
The area was previously flooded on Thursday when a failed drainage pipe in the same culvert tore a hole in the ground near the mobile homes. No injuries had been reported.
In San Francisco, a rock slide damaged at least two cars on Quintara Street.
Meanwhile in the East Bay, officials in San Pablo continued to monitor six homes whose backyards were washed away following a landslide due to the recent rains in the area.
At least one home had been red-tagged for safety concerns as building inspectors checked on the homes and a soil engineer examined the slide on Saturday.
Along the Central Coast, the California Highway Patrol said crews would try again to clear a highway after rains caused a rock and mud slide in the Big Sur area.
Officer Eric Anderson said crews on Saturday were expected to remove debris after the slide from heavy storms closed a stretch of Highway 1 on Thursday.
Anderson said there was no timetable on when the road would reopen.
Another landslide caused the closure of southbound Highway 17 into Santa Cruz near Highway 35 on Saturday.

In Woodside, Highway 84 was closed in both directions near Skyline Boulevard due to a landslide and downed trees. An estimated time of reopening was unavailable. Drivers were advised to find a different route.
