Barry Bonds Gets To Keep His Baseball Bats While On Probation
SAN FRANCISCO (TMZ) -- Former San Francisco Giants slugger Barry Bonds now has federal approval to pickup a "dangerous weapon," namely, a baseball bat, thanks to a new court order.
Bonds is appealing his sentence for felony obstruction of justice, but for now he remains free on a few conditions -- one of which is that he cannot possess any "firearm, ammunition, destructive device, or other dangerous weapon."
A federal judge this week approved his request to make an exception to the "dangerous weapon" rule for baseball bats.
The decision now allows Bonds to make batting practice a part of his workout regimen.
