'Audi Bandit' Sought In String Of Bay Area Bank Robberies
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- The FBI is asking for the public's help in finding a man known as the "Audi Bandit," who is suspected of at least three bank robberies in the Bay Area over the last three months.
Officials say the most recent robberies occurred on June 3rd at banks in Livermore and Pleasanton.
The suspect committed "note job" style robberies, at both the Fremont Bank on Holmes Street bin Livermore and the Wells Fargo Bank on Hopyard Road in Pleasanton. There was also a previous robbery at a Wells Fargo in Burlingame on May 27th.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his mid-twenties, approximately 5'7" to 5'8" with a skinny to medium build. He was seen leaving in two different Audis, one a late model A7 and the other a late model Allroad. Both vehicles had car dealer license plates, tags or inserts.
