2 Students Shot At Colorado High School; Suspect Dead
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS SF) - Two students were shot and wounded by another student at a high school in Colorado Friday, according to authorities.
The shooting happened at Arapahoe High School in Centennial, about 14 miles southeast of Denver.
One student was shot and seriously wounded. Another student was also shot but the injuries were considered minor.
The suspect, an unidentified male student, died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson.
The high school is located about eight miles east of Columbine High School, where 12 students and a teacher were shot dead in 1999 by two students who then committed suicide. The school is also near the site of another mass shooting in the town of Aurora, where 12 people died after a gunman opened fire inside a movie theatre in 2012.
