A's Tickets Suddenly A Hot Item In Oakland
OAKLAND (KCBS) – The magical ride for the Oakland A's continues on Saturday in the American League Division Series against Detroit, this after completing a three-game sweep of the Texas Rangers on Wednesday, clinching the division title.
The sold out crowd of more than 30,000 fans at the Coliseum were loud and boisterous as the A's came from behind to defeat the Rangers, clinching the AL West.
KCBS' Anna Duckworth Reports:
"I've been a fan since 1968," said Larry Davison of Pleasanton. "I've been here a long time waiting for this. This is unbelievable."
As soon as the game was over, Davison was among the throngs of fans lined up for postseason tickets.
"I'd like to watch all the games, be here for all of them," he said.
Steve Fanelli, executive director of ticket sales and operations for the A's, said tickets for the first three home games went on sale right after Wednesday's game.

"Once the tickets are sold out for the game, we're then just looking forward to future series," Fanelli said. "So fans can try to get tickets in advance for the LCS and then at some point, hopefully if we continue, we'll be looking at selling World Series tickets as well."
The first postseason game at the Coliseum will be held on Tuesday, October 9.
