Arrest Made In Burglaries At Concord Firefighter Training Center

CONCORD (CBS SF) - A Concord man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stealing an array of tools and equipment from a fire training center, a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District spokesman said Thursday.

Fire investigators and Concord police arrested Steve Wright, 42, after an investigation linked him to multiple burglaries at the district's fire training center at 2945 Treat Blvd., Fire Marshal Lewis Broschard said.

Investigators believe Wright stole several small tools and other equipment from the training center last July and again earlier this month.

Wright was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.

Anyone with information on the missing equipment is asked to call the Fire Investigation Unit at (925) 942-9140 or Concord police at (925) 942-9140.
