Suspect shot by San Jose police in overnight incident dies
A suspect shot by police over the weekend outside a San Jose business has died, authorities said Monday morning.
The officer-involved shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of Senter Road, where a man was reportedly firing shots outside a business. Callers also told police that someone had been shot.
When police arrived, they found an armed suspect and at least one officer fired, hitting the suspect.
The suspect, only described as male, suffered life-threatening injuries and died at a hospital, San Jose police said.
A victim who had been shot by the suspect remains in critical but stable condition on Monday morning at a local hospital, according to police.
Police said a press conference would be held later on Monday to provide more information about the shooting.
