Armed Robbers Target Santa Rosa McDonald's Restaurant
SANTA ROSA (BCN) - Police are searching for two suspects in an armed robbery outside a Santa Rosa McDonald's restaurant on Friday evening.
At approximately 5:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery in the parking lot of the McDonald's restaurant at 1264 Mendocino Ave.
A 22-year-old Oregon man and an 18-year-old Santa Rosa man had just exited the restaurant and had nearly reached their car when two men approached them.
One brandished a handgun and ordered the 22-year-old to surrender his wallet, police said.
The suspect then rifled through the trunk of the victims' car, took some luggage and ran off with the luggage and the wallet, police said.
No injuries were reported, and the two men remain at large.
Police described one of them as an 18- to 19-year-old black man,
approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. The man had black shoulder-length dreadlocks, brown eyes and a dark complexion.
He was wearing a black T-shirt, khaki pants and a black and white baseball cap with a flat brim at the time of the robbery, police said.
The second suspect was described by police as a 23- to 24-year-old black man, approximately 6 feet four inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds.
He had a shaved bald head, tattoos around the bottom of his green eyes, a light complexion and was wearing a white T-shirt, police said.
