Arizona State Beats California At Buzzer, 45-44
TEMPE, Ariz. (CBS/AP) -- Deja Mann hit a 25-footer at the buzzer to complete an Arizona State rally from 12 points down in the second half against California for a 45-44 win on Saturday.
Becca Tobin scored 12 of her 14 points in the second half to lead the Sun Devil rally, while Kali Bennett added 11 points and six rebounds off the bench for Arizona State (14-7, 6-5 Pac-10).
DeNesha Stallworth scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Layshia Clarendon made a pair of free throws with 58.9 seconds left for California (14-8, 6-5), which fell into a tie for fourth with Arizona State in the conference. But Clarendon later missed the front end of a 1-and-1, giving the Sun Devils their final possession.
Mann scored eight points and had two assists in 23 minutes.
