ANTIOCH (BCN) - A woman was stabbed to death in a parking lot in Antioch Monday morning and her alleged attacker has been arrested, Antioch police said.

Police received a call at about 10 a.m. reporting a stabbing in the parking lot of Delta Fair Shopping Center at 2950 Delta Fair Blvd.

When they arrived, they found the victim, later identified as 44-year-old Arlene Jefferson, suffering from stab wounds, police said.

Jefferson was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Officers arrested Roy Crites, a 56-year-old Antioch resident, at the scene and recovered the knife allegedly used in the attack, police said.
