Antioch Police Officer Shoots Suspect While Serving Warrant
ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- A 36-year-old man armed with a shotgun is recovering after he was shot by a police officer in Antioch Monday afternoon.
Around 2:20 p.m., officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant in the 2200 block of Reseda Way to Paul Morales.
The Antioch resident is wanted for a parole violation and a recent felony child abuse charge, according to the Police Department.
When he was confronted, Morales, who has an extensive criminal history, allegedly fought with officers.
An officer shot Morales, who was transported to an area hospital.
He is expected to survive.
