Antioch Man Arrested In Cellphone Store Robbery
PLEASANT HILL (CBS SF) -- Pleasant Hill police have arrested a 38-year-old man in an armed robbery Tuesday at a cellphone store.
At 6:44 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a reported armed robbery at Parrot Cellular, located at 1300 Contra Costa Blvd.
The suspect fled the scene driving a white SUV and when an officer tried to stop the vehicle, a pursuit ensued. The pursuit was terminated when the suspect appeared to deliberately collide with another vehicle in an attempt to elude police.
On Wednesday, Tremaine Legrande Moore, an Antioch resident, was taken into custody after a Pleasant Hill police investigator spotted Moore leaving a residence in Antioch. The suspect left the area on a motorcycle and fled when officers tried to initiate a traffic stop.
After a short pursuit, Moore lost control of his motorcycle, struck a curb and was ejected from the motorcycle. He was taken into custody without further incident and was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he was treated and then released into police custody.
Moore was booked into county jail on suspicion of robbery, false imprisonment, kidnapping during the commission of a robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, evading police, burglary, a probation violation, and an outstanding felony warrant.
He is being held without bail as investigators continue developing additional information in the case. Investigators are examining Moore's possible involvement with other robberies involving cellphone outlets in Pleasant Hill.
Anyone with information related to the investigation is encouraged to contact the Police Department's investigations division at (925) 288-4630.
