Antioch Homicide Spree Continues With Shooting Victim's Death
ANTIOCH (BCN) - A man who was shot in a residential section of Antioch Wednesday night has died from his injuries, police said.
Officers responded shortly after 8 p.m. to 1504 Sycamore Drive and found a 28-year-old man with at least one gunshot wound in front of the multiunit building.
The man, identified as Oakland resident Jason Reddic, was still responsive when police arrived, but was severely injured, officials said.
Emergency responders took life-saving measures before transporting Reddic to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police were interviewing potential witnesses Wednesday night, but no arrests had been made and no suspects had been identified.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting should contact Detective James Stenger at (925) 779-6894.
Antioch, which has a population of 100,000, has now experienced 12 homicides this year—five of them in December.
The city's previous homicide on Dec. 20 claimed the life of 24-year-old Arnold Muckelroy of Pittsburg. Muckelroy was shot and pushed from a car.
Police have identified 18-year-old Michael Elijah Pulliambanks as a suspect in that case.
