Andrew Luck Relishes Spotlight At Stanford Pro Day
STANFORD (CBS/AP) -- Andrew Luck smiled, joked with teammates and looked more comfortable than anybody in front of a jam-packed Stanford practice field for the school's pro day.
Leave it to everyone else to stress about draft position.
Projected to go No. 1 overall to the Indianapolis Colts in April's NFL draft, Luck relished the spotlight for a change at Stanford on Thursday as a dozen former Stanford players tried to impress more than 125 NFL scouts and executives. Of more importance to the quarterback was making his teammates shine, even if it meant bearing the elements on an unseasonably chilly day on The Farm.
Colts quarterback coach Clyde Christensen said he couldn't remember a player ever choosing to throw into the wind, saying the challenge spoke more about Luck than anything.
