An Active Britney Spears Considers Judging Duties
SAN JOSE (ET/CBSSF) - Britney Spears is burning up the Billboard album charts with Femme Fatale, her sixth album to debut at No. 1, and she's very busy preparing for an incredible new tour, scheduled to make its way to the HP Pavilion in San Jose. But would she make time to judge a reality competition?
"I think it would be fun," Britney tells ET's Mark Steines of being part of a show like Jennifer Lopez on "American Idol" or Christina Aguilera on "The Voice". "To help someone else achieve their dream is one of the most beautiful things."
Britney points out that she owes a huge debt to her fans for achieving her own dreams. "I feel like that connection and that contact with your fans is so important," she says. "If it wasn't for them, of course, I really wouldn't be here. … I'm so dedicated to them, and they make you feel larger than life. … My fans mean everything."
Britney adds that listening to her fans chanting just before stepping onstage for a concert is "the most exciting thing" and helps pump her up along with her backup dancers. "They do wonders," she says with a smile.
Britney is touring with Nicki Minaj, and she calls the performer "very interesting to watch," especially how she fits in with "the whole girl power" theme of her show: "I just think it's really empowering for girls and for me to be able to be a part of that."
Tickets for Britney's Femme Fatale tour, which kicks off in Sacramento and is coming to the Bay Area on Saturday, June 18, are on sale now. Visit CBS Local Offers for ticket information & purchase.
