Oakland Mom, Daughter Found Safe After Amber Alert Abduction
OAKLAND (CBS SF) - Oakland police said Thursday that they have found a teen mother and her 2-month-old daughter who were allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint by the child's father on Wednesday night.
Angelica Lopez, 17, and her daughter Enalina Hernandez were believed to have been taken against their will by 19-year-old Marcos Hernandez, police said.
Police said that they waited until Thursday to issue the Amber Alert because they were following up on leads. Both were found safe in Oakland around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Hernandez has a criminal past and during an argument with Lopez he hit her several times as she was holding her two-month-old daughter, according to police.

He then was said to have pulled out a gun, threatened to kill her if she didn't get into a silver 2006 Ford Focus.
Hernandez, who is considered armed and dangerous, remained at
large. Police said earlier Thursday that he could be in the Sacramento County
area. Police did not give out a license plate number because they believe the Ford Focus is a borrowed car. Investigators are working to find the owner of that car.
He is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 185 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.
Oakland police and Crime Stoppers are offering a reward of $10,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
