Alicia Silverstone Strips Down For PETA
(RADIOALICE.COM) - In a social media ad for the non-profit organization PETA, actress and activist Alicia Silverstone bares it all to raise awareness on the much darker side of wool production. The San Francisco-native is seen with her back facing the camera, holding a sheep mask and the words "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Wool." The rest of the ad also reads "Wear your own skin. Let animals keep theirs."

The Instagram post is partnered with a YouTube video with Silverstone discussing the cruelty sheep endure when being sheared of their wool. "They're cut. They're harmed," she says about sheep. "They get very seriously wounded, and there's no care for them when they're wounded. It's just move on to the next." Silverstone says. "These are not creatures to the people who are doing this. They're just objects. When the sheep are no longer useful, they're killed. So there is no happy place they get to go for being a wool sheep."
WARNING:
The video also depicts the shearing process & is very graphic:
This is the second time Silverstone stripped down for PETA. In 2007, she took it all off for a video promoting vegetarianism.
