Alarm System Thwarts Oakland BevMo Robbers; 2 Arrested
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Two people were arrested after trying to break into a BevMo store in Oakland overnight, according to police.
An alarm system detected broken glass at a BevMo store at 525 Embarcadero W. and communicated the information to Oakland dispatch, according to police.
Patrol officers responded and two suspects were arrested at the scene for commercial burglary, police said.
Stolen merchandise was recovered, police said.
The case remained under investigation.
