Alameda County's next district attorney to be Judge Ursula Jones Dickson
The Alameda County Board of Supervisors decided on who would be the county's next district attorney during a meeting Tuesday.
Judge Ursula Jones Dickson secured the appointment with a majority vote from the Board of Supervisors. She has been an Alameda County Superior Court judge for a decade and is a former deputy DA.
Jones Dickinson was also one of the preferred candidates of the group that led the recall against Pamela Price.
Her term as DA will begin next week, and she will hold the office until 2026 when the seat is up for election.
The seven candidates who were vying for the interim DA appointment all said they would be running in the election.
