9 Shoplifters Grab Merchandise And Flee From Newark Victoria's Secret
NEWARK (CBS SF) -- Eight females and one male burglarized a Victoria's Secret store at a mall in Newark Thursday night, according to police.
At about 8:30 p.m., nine suspects entered the lingerie store at the Newpark Mall and emptied racks of merchandise into their bags and purses, police said.
The suspects then fled the store with the stolen merchandise, police said.
Security guards at the Newpark Mall were alerted. When the suspects saw the security guards, a majority of the suspects ran back inside the store and returned some of the stolen goods, according to police.
The nine suspects had fled the store before the incident was reported to Newark police.
