60-Year-Old Bicyclist Seriously Injured By Hit-And-Run Driver
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A 60-year-old bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries Thursday evening when a car struck him before fleeing the scene in San Francisco's Sunnyside neighborhood.
Around 5:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run near Monterey Boulevard and Foerster Street, according to police.
Officers determined the victim was riding in the area when he was hit by a car, hit another parked car and then fell on the pavement, police said.
The vehicle then fled the scene, according to police. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A description of the suspect or the suspect vehicle was not immediately available.
