5 Best NBA Playoff Game-Winning Buzzer Beaters
The first two rounds of the NBA playoffs this year have seen a number of noteworthy shots that have won games at the buzzer.
From Paul Pierce's shot to beat the Atlanta Hawks proving that he is in fact "The Truth" to Derek Rose's off-balance 3-pointer to lead the Bulls to victory and Lebron James shot that tied the series between the Cavaliers and Bulls at two games apiece, the league's best players are shining on the biggest stage.
While all these shots were great, we're not quite sure they can top some of the amazing buzzer beaters of playoffs past. Here's a look at five of the best ones.
5. Lebron James off-balance 3-pointer in Game 2 of 2009 Eastern Conference Finals vs. Orlando Magic
4. Magic Johnson's hook shot in Game 4 of the 1987 NBA Finals vs. the Boston Celtics
3. Robert Horry game-winner vs. Sacramento Kings in Game 4 of 2002 Western Conference Finals
2. Derek Fisher 0.4 game winning shot vs. San Antonio Spurs, 2004 Western Conference Semifinals Game 5
1. Michael Jordan "The Shot" vs. Craig Ehlo, Game 5 1989 Eastern Conference First Round vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
And for fans in the Bay Area, an honorable mention for the incredible shot by Stephen Curry in the Warriors first round series vs. the New Orleans Pelicans. Alas, it only tied the game.
We'll see what the rest of this year's playoffs has in store for fans!
