49ers Now At 6-1 Odds Of Winning The Super Bowl

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS Sports) -- And then there were eight. After a snoozer of a wild-card weekend that really only featured one good game (Seattle against Washington, and even that didn't see a single-digit margin of victory), we're on a path toward two great weeks of football before the Super Bowl.
The Broncos (3-1) and Patriots (15-4) are the top-two favorites in the NFL playoffs and look like they're on a collision course for the AFC title game.
The disrespected tomato can Texans (18-1) actually saw their odds fall after beating the Bengals. I have no clue how that makes sense, but now I'm tempted to tell you to bet on them.
It's telling that the Falcons (7-1) and Seahawks (7-1) have the same odds. Seattle's a wild card with a rookie (Russell Wilson) at quarterback, playing on the road. The Falcons are the top seed with a high-powered offense playing at home. It's why it won't be surprising to see a lot of people pick the Hawks this weekend.
The 49ers (6-1) are slightly ahead of the Packers (15-2). And even though I might prefer putting something on the Packers here, it's hard not to roll with San Francisco given that it has home-field advantage.
