49ers In DC For 'Monday Night Football,' Watch On KPIX 5
(KPIX 5) – Struggling former media darlings Colin Kaepernick and Robert Griffin III lead their slumping offenses into a prime-time match-up on 'Monday Night Football', an ESPN production airing on KPIX 5.
The 49ers (6-4) must forget, at least for now, the NFC West crown and focus on stopping a 2-game slide that has put them in the middle of a crowded wild-card race.
San Francisco has gone three-and-out on 28.9 percent of their possessions this season, the fourth-worst percentage in the NFL, offering more evidence how defenses have adjusted to zone-read quarterbacks such as Kaepernick and the Redskins' Robert Griffin III. Last year, those two looked poised to change the NFL; this year, both are proof that it's hard to make an NFL living on zone-read and play-action alone.
"Monday Night Football" from FedEx Field is scheduled to kick off at 5:30 p.m. on KPIX 5.
Due to the football game, episodes of "How I Met Your Mother" and "2 Broke Girls" will air later Monday night on KPIX 5. "How I Met Your Mother" with guest star James Van Der Beek is scheduled to air at 10 p.m., followed by "2 Broke Girls" at 10:30 p.m. Hostages will air early Tuesday morning at 2:12 a.m.
