49ers, Giants Shoot It Out For Charity At Pebble Beach
PEBBLE BEACH, CA (CBS SF) - At Tuesday's second round of practice at the annual AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the San Francisco 49ers take on the San Francisco Giants at an all out charity challenge at the 4th Annual Chevron Charity Shoot-Out.
The annual event pits ballplayer versus ballplayer and competing for $100,000 purse to be donated to the Giants Community Fund, 49ers Foundation and other charities.
This year's challenge includes San Francisco Giants Matt Cain, Ryan Vogelsong, Javier Lopez, J.T. Snow, Robb Nen and Giants' broadcaster Dave Flemming. Previously announced, the 49ers team consisted of Brent Jones, Dwight Clark, Harris Barton and Steve Bono with two players yet to be announced.

UPDATED: As of the Tuesday morning. The buzz around the course was an appearance of 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh. Instead, in a bold move, the team recruited pro golfer and Bay Area-native Matt Bettencourt to go up against the World Champion Giants. Plus returning to the San Francisco 49ers line-up is none other than KC Chiefs' quarterback Alex Smith.
