49ers Fans Snubbed At Seattle Sports Bar Before NFC Championship Game
SEATTLE (CBS SF) -- In the latest insult to those proudly sporting the San Francisco scarlet and gold, Seattle sports bar '95 Slide announced it will invite Seahawks fans in for free while charging 49ers fans the $10 cover charge during Sunday's NFC Championship game.
Word spread after the bar posted a photo of its marquee on its Facebook page, writing, "Sunday: Free admission for Seahawks Fans; 10 dollar cover for 49ers fans."
The move adds fuel to the fire of fan fury after Seahawks management announced Sunday that California residents and others in non-Seahawks friendly zip codes would be banned from purchasing tickets to the game at CenturyLink stadium.
The winner will go on to face the AFC champion in Super Bowl XLVIII in New York next month.

The establishment on Seattle's Capitol Hill is named after Ken Griffey Jr's infamous slide into home plate that sent the Seattle Mariners to the 1995 American League Championship series.
Managers have not confirmed whether the message is a real plan or purely for entertainment and promotion.
Discriminatory discount policies, like ladies nights, have been ruled by state and federal courts to be unconstitutional, but since affinity for a sports team is not something one is born with like gender, the pricing plan might pass legal muster, if challenged.
Of course, 49ers fans would argue that team loyalty is in fact inherited at birth, and not merely a choice for Bay Area natives.
