49ers Emerge From Draft As Super Bowl Favorite
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS Sports) - The San Francisco 49ers, who leveraged a bounty of draft picks to address needs at safety and wide receiver, emerged from the NFL Draft as the sole favorites to win Super Bowl XLVIII.
Sportsbook Bovada.lv pegs San Francisco at 6/1, followed by Denver (15/2), New England (8/1) and Seattle (9/1).
Odds have changed in the last six weeks. On March 15, following the start of free agency, Denver and the Niners were listed as 7/1 co-favorites, followed by New England (15/2) and Seattle (10/1).
The 49ers used two of their original 15 draft picks to acquire Baltimore Ravens wideout Anquan Boldin. The defending NFC champs also traded up 13 spots in the first round to draft LSU free safety Eric Reid, Dashon Goldson's projected replacement.
Jacksonville remains the biggest longshot at 200/1.
