Sunnyvale Burglary Suspects Caught On Surveillance Camera Arrested By CHP
TURLOCK (BCN) -- A man and woman whose images were captured on a home surveillance video during an alleged burglary last Friday in Sunnyvale were arrested Tuesday morning by the California Highway Patrol in Turlock, authorities said.
CHP officers safely arrested Fernando Ricardo Angeles, 34, and Carrisa Barreto, 36, both of Sunnyvale, on warrants for violating their probation, Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety Capt. Jeffrey Hunter said.
Sunnyvale public safety officers did not immediately have any details this afternoon about exactly where or when Angeles and Barreto were captured or how the CHP found them, Hunter said.
Angeles and Barreto are considered suspects in the burglary last Friday of a home in the 900 block of East Duane Avenue in Sunnyvale, where the homeowner's surveillance system took images of them taking property before fleeing.
Detectives were able to identify the two in the video and issued warrants for their arrest on suspicion of violating probation sentences they are serving, Hunter said.
Hunter said that the investigation into the burglary is ongoing.
