4-Time DUI Offender Accused In Petaluma Restaurant Crash

PETALUMA (CBS SF) -- Petaluma police arrested a four-time DUI offender Thursday for allegedly driving under the influence and causing a car to crash into a restaurant, police said.

Robin Kay Ray, 54, of Petaluma was driving a gold Toyota Camry wagon northbound on Petaluma Boulevard South around 1:30 p.m.

He attempted to turn left onto G Street and allegedly cut off another vehicle, driven by 69-year-old Ernest West, according to police.

The collision caused West's vehicle to crash into the side of the Sea Restaurant. The crash did not cause noticeable damage to the building. West was not injured in the collision, according to police.

Ray was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was released on a citation and taken to a hospital for moderate injuries sustained in the crash.
