Home-Invasion Robbery Suspects Crash Into San Jose Home; 1 Suspect At Large
SAN JOSE (KCBS) — San Jose police are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred early Tuesday morning that also involved the suspects crashing their get-away vehicle into another home.
It all started at about 4:04 a.m. when the California Highway Patrol asked San Jose police for assistance with a pursuit of a suspect vehicle which crashed into a home at Singleton and Senter Roads in South San Jose.
No one inside the home was injured.
Officers arrested one juvenile while a second suspect fled the scene on foot and remains at large.
Shortly after that incident, officers discovered the suspects' vehicle had been stolen from a home-invasion robbery, minutes earlier, in the 1500 block of Sunshadow Lane in East San Jose.
About 4:15 a.m. officers had made contact with an elderly couple who told them that that two suspects forced their way into their home, sexually assaulted one of them, and stole their vehicle.
The female victim in the home was transported to a nearby hospital and was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
San Jose Police said they will release more information Tuesday morning.
