Cable Failure, Blown Fuse Causes San Francisco North Beach Power Outage
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- PG&E crews continued to work in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood Sunday morning where about 348 customers have been without power for more than eight hours, a spokeswoman said.
The outage, which appears to have been caused by an underground cable failure, was reported around 1:10 a.m., PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.
Utility crews were working to repair and replace the cable and hoped to have power restored to the neighborhood by 10 a.m.
A separate outage caused by a blown fuse affected 186 customers in the Western Addition neighborhood since 1 a.m., Morris said.
Power was fully restored to the area by 7 a.m.
