$3,000 In Gear Stolen From Petaluma Little League
PETALUMA (CBS SF) - Little league baseball equipment was stolen from a storage shed in Petaluma over the weekend, police said.
Some time between 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. this morning, a suspect broke into an equipment shed used by the Petaluma Valley Little League at the corner of Park Way and Maria Drive, according to Petaluma police.
The thieves took two motorized pitching machines, a line chalk machine and protective gear for umpires.
The stolen equipment is estimated to be worth $3,000 and is a "huge loss" for the little league, which just began its baseball season, police said.
