3 Sought, Reward Offered In Violent Salinas Bank Robbery

SALINAS (CBS SF) -- The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrests of three men considered armed and dangerous in a violent bank
robbery in Salinas earlier this month.

The men robbed a Wells Fargo bank at 1903 Natividad Road around 5:10 p.m. on Nov. 9, police said.

The suspects entered the bank where they took hostages and made threats to customers and employees, according to the FBI.

They took an undetermined amount of cash before they fled, police said.

The men left in a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Honda, and there may have been other people inside the vehicle, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

The suspects were described as Hispanic men who wore hooded sweatshirts, bright yellow construction safety vests, tinted glasses and painter's masks at the time of the robbery, FBI officials said.

Two of the suspects were armed with handguns and the third suspect had a knife, police said.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the San Francisco FBI office at (415) 553-7400 or Monterey FBI office at (831) 641-5300.
