3 Simultaneous Medical Emergencies Triggering BART Delays
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Three simultaneous medical emergencies triggered BART delays into San Francisco at the tail end of the morning commute Monday.
Trains may be up to 20 minutes delayed.
BART spokesperson Jim Allison confirmed the medical issues were relatively minor, including a passenger with a hurt leg, but it had a ripple effect on trains. The system is now in the process of recovering from the triplet of issues.
One rider reported being stuck in the Transbay Tube for 10 minutes with no communication from the train operator. "Another commute ruined by @SFBART," Joshua @joshiemac tweeted.
Others question how three emergencies would all happen in the same hour.
