3 More Arrests In Daytime Shooting Death Of Oakland Mother Killed Protecting Her Children
OAKLAND (KCBS)-- Oakland police say they've made three more arrests in the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old mother last week.
Police say they're identified as 29-year-old Shelton McDaniels, and 29-year-old Jerry Harbin and 29-year-old Kiechelle Wilright. McDaniels and Harbin are in custody on murder charges, while Wilright is charged as being an accessory.
30-year-old Chyemil Pierce, a human resources worker for Kaiser Permanente, was shot while trying to protect her seven and nine-year-old children after a gunfight broke out between two groups, just as they were let out of daycare.
Police say they plan to release more information later Monday afternoon.
